Saturday, April 18th...Grandma Susan's visit completed

Wed afternoon Grandma Susan surprised us by coming up a day early and arriving at 4pm. Axel and I were very excited to see Grandma because we had a rough few days during his growth spurt and I was exhausted trying to make sure he was getting enough food and taking care of his new found fussiness.

Grandma and Axel had a great time together playing and getting to know one another. Grandma also cooked some yummy food that all of us enjoyed, including yummy BBQ chicken and baked pork chops. Mommy also got some well needed time on the bike, cleaning the house and getting some extra sleep by going to bed at 8pm :) while Grandma and daddy watched and fed Axel.

Grandma also enjoyed watching "Balls of Fury" with daddy and Axel, while mommy got to take care of Axel's health insurance and go through all of Axel's birth papers.

The highlights of this past week were receiving a box of goodies from Kendra and Bronson that included the boppy pillow which we love and a sling carrier which has help liberate mommy so she can still attend to needed tasks when Axel is needing to be held or being fussy. The highlight most cherished by daddy was being able to ride with mommy today for the first time in months. As daddy says, "the bike was were we fell inlove together and it was nice to rekindle that love again today."

We were sad to see Grandma leave, but know that she needed to get back home to prepare for her upcoming week of work and social events....if you don't know Grandma her calendar is always action packed :)Here are a few pictures of the past few days......
