Pre-Thanksgiving Friendsgiving to Happy Thanksgiving

We were so blessed to have Tyler with Jade and Zoe and Mark and Brenna with their two little ones, Hazel and Ryan with us for a full Friendsgiving dinner on November 11th. It was so nice to meet little Ryan and see Mark, Brenna and Hazel. It has been several years since we have seen them and it was an all around nice evening. We were bummed Mike and Vanessa had to cancel for other plans, but we understanding how busy everyone is.
Rubix had his end of year soccer tournament on Nov 11th and 12th. I was not able to see his game on Saturday because of swim practice, but I was able to watch his two games on Sunday.
I was even able to catch Rubix making a goal on video, which was a score for me! At the end of the tournament, Coach Keith (daddy) passed out trophies and said nice words about all of the kids. I was proud of how much he helped the kids grow in skill and character throughout the season.
Coach Keith and Rubix!
Coach Adam, Keith and Dong with most of the team.
We had several days of rain the week of the 13th and had quite a downpour that we drove through on our way to Salinas early Saturday morning, Nov. 18th. There was a break in the rain where we saw several big bright rainbows. I was a bit bummed the camera did not capture how big and beautiful the rainbows were, but thought I was still share.
Too bad this picture is blurry, but this was another great rainbow.
The Salinas swim meet was quite a trying meet with all 3 kids adding times for all of their events, except the 100 back where Rubix had a best time by .10 seconds. The kids had been sick, as mentioned in the last blog and it was obvious at the swim meet. The great thing was that they worked really hard and were really close to their previous times. I was proud of them for having good attitudes. Rubix, was a bit immature getting down on his times and pouting every time he got out of the pool after each race, but he came around and communicated well with his coach and continued to warm up for each event.

The kids felt better the entire week of Thanksgiving. It was really nice for them to be home and just have swim practice. Wed. Axel had Pratulya and Nirav over and Phoenix was able to go to her friend Audrey's house.

Thanksgivng morning Keith and I managed to get up early for a ride before heading to Auntie Shannon's house in Sacramento. We had a great time visiting family and spending the day with the Jolley's and Gma and Gpa.

Phoenix made sure to make white elephant gift exchange again. It has become a tradition that the entire family enjoys. Gpa is holding a little clay model of a pumpkin pie. It was so cute!
Here is a picture of the family enjoying the game.
Here is a display of her gifts that she created. I just love how thoughtful and creative she is.
It was a beautiful day and the kids were able to play in the park.
Cousin lava monster!
We celebrated Gpa Brian's 70th birthday too with a little birthday song and cheer.

We were able to stay until 7:30pm and the cousins played with vigor until we left.
I was able to capture a selfie with Auntie!
One last photo of the cousins!
On Friday we started decorating the house and we were able to finish up yesterday.
We are all ready for the Christmas season!
We are excited for this upcoming weekend where we get to support and cheer on Phoenix at the Age Group Championship meet in Moraga. We are hoping she can reach her goal of at least one podium finish/ medal! Until next time!
